HYT provides fire protection engineering consulting services for those clients that have questions or concerns regarding their facility, the inherent hazards, level of protection, or the life safety features for the occupants. Our service delivery capabilities and experience include, but go beyond, risk identification and assessment to include water supply testing and analysis, fire protection and life safety system evaluation, business continuity evaluation, and operations, maintenance, and administrative program review and development.

Fire Protection Design

HYT provides detailed design services for those clients and projects that desire a high level of control over their fire protection installations, or where competitive bidding is difficult to achieve. Where detailed design is not advantageous to the client, HYT will assist with technical specifications, schematic design drawings, and construction period services.

Code Assessment

Code compliance represents only one facet of a facility’s overall fire and life safety. However, in many cases, code compliance becomes the driving factor for a client when attempting to occupy a new facility, plan new processes, or modify existing facilities. Existing facilities present different challenges than new facilities. HYT provides code compliance studies and assessment for new and existing facilities and processes. Our experience includes all of the nonstructural fire protection and life safety aspects of model, consensus, State, and local codes. Our services can be tailored to address specific areas, such as hazardous materials, or they can be inclusive of the overall compliance for an entire facility.
