Experience Summary
Mr. Yamane has over thirty years
experience in the areas of fire protection engineering, assessment,
and applications. He specializes in the application of fire
protection codes and standards for a wide variety of institutional,
manufacturing, industrial, and commercial occupancies. His
experience includes code compliance assessments for facilities,
development of fire protection criteria and reports, and fire
protection systems applications. He is experienced in automatic
sprinklers, fire alarm systems, and special hazard suppression
systems.
In his thirty year career in fire protection engineering, he has
provided consulting services for nearly every type of occupancy and
operation located within the western United States, including
coordinating and/or performing fire protection services for public
utility companies, universities, manufacturing, processing,
warehousing, and distribution facilities, congregate care
facilities, and high rises, to name just a few.
Prior to HYT Corporation, Mr. Yamane was a senior fire protection
engineer with Crawford and Company. Prior to incorporating the loss
control activities of Fred S. James into The FPE Group (later
Crawford & Company), Mr. Yamane was the Vice President, Loss Control
Services for Fred S. James. His employment with James spanned nearly
twenty years. During this period, he coordinated all of the loss
control activities in the Pacific Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii region.
Prior to his employment with James, he was a property loss control
representative with Marsh & McLennan, Inc. and a supervising
engineer with the Pacific Fire Rating Bureau.
